Effective April 1, 2026, Maryland requires all licensed healthcare professionals, including nurses (RN, LPN, APRN), to complete approved training on both implicit bias and structural racism. This is a mandatory, one-time training required upon your first license renewal after this date. Nursing CE Central has been approved by the Maryland Board of Nursing and the Maryland Office of Minority Health and Health Disparities (MHHD). This course will be added to their website as an approved provider course for the Maryland Implicit Bias and Structural Racism Training. That course can be found here and is worth 2 CE.
