Are Nursing CE Central's CE courses accepted in Texas?

Nursing CE Central is an accredited continuing education provider in Texas!

We are accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), and the Texas Board of Nursing honors and accepts our ANCC accreditation.

Starting September 1, 2026, Texas nurses will be required to upload all continuing education (CE) certificates directly to the Texas Nurse Portal before renewing their licenses, in accordance with Senate Bill 912.

This marks a shift from the previous process, where you simply attested to your CE completion and retained your certificates for possible audits. With these new requirements, your path to renewal will be simpler and more streamlined, but it does require some preparation.

Here’s What You Need to Know:

  1. Use Approved Providers: We’re proud to let you know that Nursing CE Central is accredited by the ANCC and recognized as an approved provider of continuing education for nurses in Texas. This means that when you complete your courses through us, you can be confident they meet the necessary standards for CE renewal!
  2. Save Your Certificates: After finishing each course, remember to keep digital copies of all your completion records. This will make the uploading process a breeze!
  3. Check Your Portal Access: Make sure to navigate to the Texas Nurse Portal soon! Create or log in to your profile before your renewal date to ensure your account is in order.

Continuing Education (CE) Upload Requirements:

  • Digital Uploads: To have your renewal application approved, don’t forget you’ll need to upload those completion certificates to the Texas Nurse Portal.
  • No Extra Fees: The new digital tracking process is user-friendly and requires no additional accounts, subscriptions, or fees – making it accessible for everyone!
  • Enforcement: Remember, licenses will not be renewed without prior digital verification of your full CE compliance for that renewal cycle, so be sure to stay on top of this! We’re here to support you every step of the way.
