What are New Hampshire's State CE Requirements?

The New Hampshire Board of Nursing provides the following guidelines regarding the continuing education requirements for nursing professions in New Hampshire.

Licensed Practical Nurses

  • 30 contact hours of continuing education every 2 years.

Registered Nurses

  • 30 contact hours of continuing education every 2 years.

Advanced Practice Registered Nurses

  • 60 contact hours of continuing education every 2 years.
    • 30 of the 60 hours must be related to specialty.
    • 5 hours should cover pharmacology.
    • For licensees with an active DEA # for prescribing in New Hampshire, 3 of
      the 5 hours must address opioid prescribing, pain management, or
      substance abuse disorder.
