The Tennessee Board of Nursing provides the following guidelines regarding the continuing education requirements for nursing professions in Tennessee.
Licensed Practical Nurses

LPNs are required to complete 2 of 15 learning options every 2 years.

1 option is 5 contact hours of continuing education

If not currently practicing, LPNs must complete 10 hours of continuing education
